Bella Hadid well and truly stole the show at Paris Fashion Week 2022 after she had a dress spray-painted on her near-naked body while on the runway.
The 25-year-old supermodel delighted the crowd at the Coperni fashion show with her DIY latex dress on Friday.
Coperni’s designers, Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, referred to the striking look as a "celebration of women’s silhouettes from centuries past," according to Vogue.
Hadid – whose hair was styled in a chic-looking bun – was initially seen on the runway clad only in pair of heels and underwear. She had placed her hands over her breasts in order to conceal them.
Three men - led by Dr Manel Torres (managing director of Fabrican Ltd and inventor of the spray-on fabric) - then began to spray the white-colored dress onto the model until it looked opaque.
Hadid, whose sister - 27-year-old Gigi - is also a renowned model, stood still as the trio went about the task, gracefully lifting her arms as the material was wound around her body.
After some moments, the dress became a solid one-piece outfit and a fourth designer made her way over to Hadid in order to adjust the garment and trim away any excess fabric.
When footage and images featuring the spray-on dress emerged, the internet had a lot to say about it.
One person admitted that they were "trying to understand how the spray paint on bella hadid turned into a full moving coperni dress."
Another gushed: "Fashion history. iconic. pure art. breathtaking. bella hadid closing coperni ss23 in a dress that was sprayed onto her during the show."
