Ben Affleck has posted a heartwarming tribute to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Mother's Day.
Taking to his official Instagram account, the 49-year-old Justice League actor opened up about his relationship with the mother of his three children - whom he divorced back in 2018.
Sharing a number of images of Garner with their children - daughters Violet Anne, Seraphina, and son Samuel - with his 4.4 million followers, Affleck wrote:
"So happy to share these kids with you. Luckiest parents in the world. Thanks for all the good you do. Happy Mother's Day. Love, their Dad."
Affleck's post quickly picked up a lot of attention from other social media users, who promptly took to the comments to praise his co-parenting and appreciation of his ex-partner.

For instance, one fan wrote: "Guys, if you get back together, world peace will follow. Haha."

A second person then wrote: "Thanks for sharing those family pics! No matter what happened, you all are always family."

This person then wrote: "This is the most awesome thing I saw all week."

Another fan then chimed in: "How sweet Ben Affleck you are so adorable. [I] am very happy to see Jennifer Garner best mom ever seen."

Someone else wrote simply: "That's a great family right there..."

Finally, this commenter added: "Now that's a great man right there to appreciate."
Garner and Affleck first met on the set of the 2001 movie Pearl Harbour and later met again when starring in Daredevil, playing the parts of Matt Murdock and Elektra Natchios respectively.
They later went on to date each other in 2004, before tying the knot in a private ceremony in June 2005. It was a decade later when the pair announced their separation, with their divorce eventually being finalized in 2018.

In a 2020 interview with People magazine, the Argo actor spoke about how important it was to him that he and Garner still work hard to raise their children together.
He also revealed that because his parents divorced when he was a child, he was determined not to let his own kids go through the painful childhood experiences that he did.

Affleck said: "When you have children with somebody you're connected to them forever, and I'm very lucky she is the mother of my children. I'm very grateful and respectful of her.
"Our marriage didn't work, and that's difficult. Both of us really believe that it's important for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they're together or not."

The actor added: "It's important for my kids to know that I respect and care about Jen and she treats me the same way. I have a lot of respect and gratitude toward her, and I wish her the very best."
