Billie Eilish has said that the pressure she felt after posting her record-breaking Vogue cover on Instagram made her "never want to post again".

At the start of the month, the 19-year-old megastar shared her cover of British Vogue sporting her new platinum blonde locks. She also adopted a more mature look that included various ensembles of corsets, latex, and stockings by high-end designers - far from her signature look of baggy clothing.

Needless to say, fans couldn't get enough of the bold new look. In fact, when Eilish posted her striking Vogue cover to her Instagram account, it became the fastest Instagram photo to reach 1 million likes, which it did in under six minutes.

Despite that, it turns out that intense adoration and record-breaking Instagram posts aren't all they're cracked up to be.

Billie Eilish says the record-breaking reaction to her Vogue cover shoot made her "never want to post again":

During an appearance on Stephen Colbert's Late Show on Monday, Eilish told the host that the reaction to her Vogue shoot was "scary".

She told the host: "I think it more just makes me never want to post again. I feel like I wanted to post more when less people cared, and now that more people care, it's scary to me."

The 'Bad Guy' hitmaker added: "I mean, it's amazing. It was so weird, the day that all those pictures came out. Because I'd post one and then I'd see, 'Billie Eilish has broken the record for the fastest picture ever liked!'"

She continued: "And then I would post another one, and it would say, 'Billie Eilish just broke the other record she just broke with the new fastest picture ever liked!' It's been crazy. It's been a very weird, surreal week."

Eilish also spoke about her upcoming album, Happier Than Ever, which she said was her "favorite thing [she's] ever created."

"I'm just so proud of it," the teenager said. "I feel so cocky about it, I've got to tell you."

While promoting her new single, 'Your Power', Eilish added: "I would say [it's] my favorite song that I've ever written. That doesn't mean I don't like any other songs as much... I mean, I really feel very cocky about it. I'm sorry.

"I think there's just times in life where you should be allowed to feel cocky about something. I just am very proud of myself with this song, and I feel like I can never top it."
