Brazilian soccer star Givanildo Vieira de Sousa - who is known as Hulk - has revealed that he is expecting a baby with his ex-wife's niece.
Hulk, 35, who is a striker for Atletico Mineiro, revealed on Instagram that he and his partner are having a baby. The soccer star shared photographs of the couple kissing beside their ultrasound scan.
The 35-year-old captioned the photographs: "Today with a heart full of gratitude to God, I come to share with you that for the fourth time I am being blessed with another child
"My heart overflows with so much happiness and I can only say thank you God.
"We are already looking forward to receiving you child, and we love you unconditionally. Come full of health my baby."
Per the Daily Mail, the soccer player's wife, Camila Sousa, 32, was his niece when he was previously married to Iran Angelo, 33, for 12 years.
This baby will be his fourth child.
The Daily Mail reports that Vieira de Sousa split from Angelo in July of 2019 and in December of that year, it was rumored that he was in a relationship with her niece.
He allegedly told his family about the relationship at this time and informed his three school-age children who he shares with Angelo.
The striker went on to marry his niece in September 2020, which is when Hulk was playing for China's Shangai SIPG.
A spokesman for the striker said in a statement: "Hulk called the parents and the brother of Camila and told them the truth.
"It was Hulk himself who made the information public because he had nothing to hide. His position is transparency and he wants to avoid lies and malicious comments."
However, the Hulk insists that he was never romantically involved with his niece while he was still married to Angelo.
The Mirror reports that he said: "I never had a relationship with Camila when I was married.
"I am a man. I was not happy in my marriage.
"I had countless reasons. I spent my entire marriage betraying Iran. She lived a single life. She just wanted to have the status of wife of the Hulk."
Congratulations to the happy couple!
