US comedian and actor Carl Reiner has passed away at the age of 98.
Reiner's representative, Judy Nagy, told Variety that the performer had died of natural causes at this home in Beverly Hills on Monday night.
The actor - who was part of Sid Caesar's legendary team, and rose to fame in the 1960s as a performer and writer on the Dick Van Dyke Show - was the winner of nine Emmy awards, including five for The Dick Van Dyke Show.
He then went onto form a comedy duo with Mel Brooks, with whom he performed the 2000 Year Old Man sketch.

Reiner appeared in classic feature films, such as 1963's It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World, 1966's The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming, and 2019's Toy Story 4.
He also appeared in the Ocean's trilogy, between 2001 and 2007, where he played Saul Bloom.
The comedian's work as a director included the films, The Jerk, Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid and All Of Me - all of which starred comedy actor, Steve Martin.
Reiner was born in the Bronx in 1922, and he graduated from high school early at 16. He initially worked as a machinist while studying his craft.
