Britney Spears' mom Lynne has seemingly broken her silence with regards to her daughter's new legal representation amid her conservatorship battle.
On Wednesday, July 14, it was reported that a judge had permitted Britney to choose her own lawyer in a bid to end the conservatorship that has seen her father Jamie control her finances and personal affairs since 2008.
Not long after this news surfaced, Britney's 66-year-old mom took to Instagram to share a cryptic post featuring a bible verse from the book of John, which read: "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it."
This marks the first time Lynne has seemingly hinted at her daughter's controversial conservatorship.

Meanwhile, Britney's younger sister Jamie Lynn quoted Christopher Reeve in a post shared to her Instagram story, seemingly in reference to Britney's new legal breakthrough: "Once you choose hope, anything's possible."

In another post, the former Nickolodeon star added: "Dear Lord, Can we end this bull sh#t once and for all. Amen."

Britney is now legally able to hire a lawyer of her own choosing whereas previously, the decision was for her father to make. Per The Sun, the judge has allowed Britney to instruct Matthew S. Rosengart, a former federal prosecutor, as her lawyer.
The 'Toxic' singer celebrated the news by sharing a video of herself doing cartwheels and riding a horse. Included in the post was a message for her fans in which she thanked them for supporting her throughout the ordeal.
Watch Britney doing cartwheels below:The 39-year-old chart-topper wrote: "Coming along, folks ... coming along !!!!! New with real representation today ... I feel GRATITUDE and BLESSED !!!!
"Thank you to my fans who are supporting me ... You have no idea what it means to me be supported by such awesome fans !!!! God bless you all !!!!!
"Pssss this is me celebrating by horseback riding and doing cartwheels today !!!! [sic]"
This comes less than a month after Britney made a virtual appearance at a court hearing and urged the judge to consider terminating her conservatorship, which she revealed has made her severely "depressed".
