Britney Spears' younger sister, Jamie Lynn, has taken to Instagram to passionately defend her pop star sister from speculation over her mental health.
When responding to a follower who commented on Britney's "OBVIOUS mental illness", the Zooey 101 actress responded by describing her sister as a "strong, badass, unstoppable woman."
Jamie Lynn had originally shared a screenshot of a tweet from Halsey (21st July), who appeared to be referencing Kayne West's appearance at a rally in South Carolina as part as his purported bid to run as a 2020 presidential nominee.

In the caption on Instagram, Jamie Lynn wrote: "If you deal with mental illness or care for someone dealing with mental illness, then you know how important it is to respect the situation with privacy for the person, and the family trying to protect their loved ones, no matter how it may appear to the public, and as the public we must learn to do the same."
In the comments, however, one follower said, "How about your sisters OBVIOUS mentall illness? Why don’t you speak on that? [sic]"
In a now-deleted comment, the 29-year-old hit back: "You have no right to assume anything about my sister, and I have NO right to speak about HER health and personal matters. ‘She is a strong, badass, unstoppable woman, and that’s the only thing that is OBVIOUS."
"I pray this doesn’t bring shame to anyone dealing with mental illness, you are not alone, and you are loved. ‘Sending all my love and prayers to all of you," she added.

Spears is facing renewed concern for her wellbeing following her recent social media posts during the coronavirus lockdown.
Fans have speculated that the Toxic singer may be suffering due to the conservatorship she has been under for the past 12 years. Britney was first placed under a conservatorship by her father back in 2008 after suffering a series of mental breakdowns, which necessitated medical intervention.
The hashtag "#FreeBritney" has subsequently been making the rounds on social media.
