Caitlyn Jenner has promised to put an end to cancel culture and "wake up the woke" if elected governor of California.

Last month, the former Olympic gold medalist revealed that she is pursuing the political venture, declaring that "California is worth fighting for". Now, in an effort to garner support, the 71-year-old is taking aim at progressivism.

In a tweet to her 3.4 million Twitter followers, the reality TV star wrote: "When elected Governor of California, I will CANCEL, cancel culture and wake up the woke."

Jenner did not provide any details on how she planned on canceling cancel culture or waking up the "woke", however.

Nevertheless, Jenner is now selling 'Wake Up The Woke' and "Cancel Cancel Culture" t-shirts and baseball caps on her website:

After announcing her plans to run for governor of California, Jenner referred to herself as "a proven winner and the only outsider who can put an end to Gavin Newsom's disastrous time as governor."

However, despite continuing to take aim at Democrat Gavin Newsom on Twitter, Jenner recently revealed that she did not vote in the 2020 presidential election.

In an interview with CNN's Dana Bash, Jenner said: "I didn't even vote. Out here in California, it's like, why vote for a Republican president? It's just not going to work. I mean, it's overwhelming."

The 71-year-old former Olympic athlete, who famously voted for Trump in 2016, continued: "It was voting day and I thought the only thing out here in California that I worry about, which affects people, is the propositions that were out there.

"I didn't see any propositions that I really had one side or the other. And so it was Election Day and I just couldn't get excited about it. And I just wound up going to play golf and I said, 'I'm not doing that.'"

You may also be wondering why the former Olympian's famous family has remained so tight-lipped regarding Jenner's political pursuit. Well, in an interview with CBS This Morning, Jenner revealed that she specifically told daughters Kendall, 25, and Kylie, 23, not to comment on her venture.

She said: "As we all know, politics can be a pretty tough business, OK? You know what? I've got pretty big shoulders and I can take it. People have come after me all my life and I had to just move on and do my own thing.

"But I did speak with all my children. I said. 'Hey, I do not want one tweet. This is my deal'."

The former Olympic decathlete added that she told her daughters "not to be involved whatsoever".
