There's no doubt that Cardi B is a style icon. No matter what she's wearing, no matter how outlandish the garment is, she always looks her best, and if you follow her on Instagram, you never know what kind of fashion statement she'll be making next.
But now Cardi B has gone viral on social media this week after showing off an optical illusion see-through dress which has utterly baffled her fans.
According to The Daily Mail, the rapper, producer, and performer took to the streets of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles this afternoon for some quarantine shopping. But despite wearing a face-covering, it's clear that Cardi was in no mood to look inconspicuous.
In a post made to her 81.6 million followers on Instagram Cardi shared a picture of her bizarre outfit - a pink and rubbery see-through optical illusion dress complete with a cut-off white angora sweater trimming, which appeared to prominently display her body and underwear,
Cardi captioned her first post: "Majin Buu & Goku [sic]" in a reference to two characters from the Akira Toriyama Japanese shonen anime series Dragonball: the former of which is a pink and rubbery monster.
On his Instagram account, her husband Offset also shared a number of pictures of the avant-garde garment with his 18 million followers on his official Instagram stories.

Tagging his spouse in the pictures and video, a mask-wearing Cardi can be seen strutting her stuff.

Suffice it to say, but a large number of Cardi's fans and followers were completely baffled by her dress, and promptly took to the comments to post about it.
For instance, one person wrote: "This is the weirdest outfit I've ever seen."

Another person wrote: "This looks like an illusion."

A third commenter wrote: "I honestly thought it was like one of those t-shirts that have the bikini body [...] printed on it... and then saw the pics offset posted realized it was actually her real body!"

Another person added simply: "I am so confused looking at this outfit."

Finally, someone else chimed in: "Im not sure what's going on here but I'm kinda likin' it. [sic]"

Meanwhile, a number of other anime fans were left more confused by Cardi's Dragonball reference, claiming that it made no sense in the context of her post.
For example, one irate commenter wrote: "This reference literally makes no sense. you clearly have never watched that show."

Another person wrote: "I don't see Majin Buu or Goku anywhere."

A third commenter chimed in: "have you ever even seen dragonball cardi? [sic]"

While a fourth person added: "majin buu and goku are not lovers."

Back in November,Cardi B was forced to apologize after being accused of cultural appropriation by critics for imitating a Hindu goddess in a magazine cover.
