Cher has opened up about her dating preferences and why in particular she prefers to date younger men.
The 77-year-old is not only known for her musical talents, but also for her light-hearted and charming personality, which has helped her capture the hearts of millions of people around the world.
And recently, a comment she made about her dating preferences has garnered attention due to the sheer honesty the star approached the question with.
Speaking during an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the 'Believe' singer opened up about her dating history, revealing that she'd been approached by the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, which she turned down due to her nerves.
"It was because I was nervous and I knew of the people around him and it wasn’t that they were bad people, it's just that I was kind of nervous of his reputation and I mean. 'I’m really shy when I’m not working and kind of shy around men,'" Cher explained.
Hard to believe with a woman so iconic as Cher, right?
These days though, the star is enjoying her time with record executive Alexander 'AE' Edwards, who is 39 years her junior.
The songstress stated that she prefers to be with men younger than her due to the fact that they're more willing to date women that are strong and independent.
"I would rather date men from later generations, who 'were raised by women like me' and were therefore never scared of me," she said, before specifying: "And the reason I got with young men is because men my age or older - well, now they're all dead.
"But before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me," she concluded.
But not Edwards though.
The pair have had a rollercoaster of a relationship ever since they were romantically linked back in 2022 after meeting at Paris Fashion Week.
While they did have a little hiccup in May 2023, it seems as though the superstar couple have managed to put their problems to the side and continue with their relationship as of September 2023.
Cher has previously spoken about her love for the 38-year-old, stating that his sense of humor - among a handful of other things - keeps her hooked.
"He's kind, smart, hilarious... and we kiss like teenagers," she responded to a fan's inquiry about their intimate relationship on social media.
Initially, fans were concerned about this newfound love after it was revealed that the producer had cheated on his ex, Amber Rose, whom he shares a son with - Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.
However, the 77-year-old put those worries to rest the only way she knows best: Iconically.
"I'm in love, not blinded by it," she said.
