Cher has revealed how she manages to stay so youthful decades later.

The Goddess of Pop rose to stardom in her early 20s after beginning her career with her former husband, Sonny Bono, and forming the successful folk-rock duo, Sonny & Cher.

Sixty years later, the hitmaker continues to top the charts with her songs and sell-out shows worldwide as one of the most successful entertainment figures of all time.

Now, at 76, the 'Believe' songstress maintains the same vibrant, youthful energy and attitude as she did more than six decades ago when she was an aspiring performer.

While the 'After All' singer has been open about undergoing cosmetic procedures such as a nose job, there’s no denying that she’s hardly aged since her teenage stardom.

She opened up about how she preserved her looks in 1982, telling Interview magazine that she learned to accept the inevitable through her mother's wisdom.

Recounting her mother’s words, she shared: "You know my mother told me once: 'You know, you’re not the most beautiful, you’re not the most talented. You won’t always be the youngest, but you are special and there’s something more important about that.'"

However, while Cher accepted that she wouldn't always be the youngest, she chose to take proactive anti-aging steps that would allow her to maintain her youth.

Speaking to PEOPLE in 1991, she revealed at the time: "The most important thing is to give yourself a fighting chance. I quit smoking. I don't do drugs. I never drink coffee and almost never drink alcohol or eat red meat, so I'm way ahead of the game."

"I try to avoid foods with a high-fat content because they make me sluggish and keep my weight up," she continued. "Dairy products are not good for us. I weaned myself from whole milk to nonfat milk - if I’m having milk at all. I think cheese is one of the worst things for the body."

"It doesn’t digest well, and most cheeses are too high in fat and cholesterol. My worst addiction is sweets and chocolate. Sweets have been the toughest 'substance' for me to kick," she added.

The 'If I Could Turn Back Time' icon has always advocated for the importance of making healthy choices in life, as she stated in a later interview with Today that her lifestyle has allowed her to look radiant.

Her commitment to staying active and adopting a nutritious diet has certainly contributed to her enduring vitality, as well as staying away from bad habits such as alcohol, cigarettes, and substances.

In addition to this, Cher stumbled upon an accidental triumph when it came to getting ahead of the game with her skincare and ageless appearance. In the 1970s, she was prescribed Retin-A, which is now known to help keep skin looking youthful as an adult acne treatment.

"With Dr. Arnold Klein in Beverly Hills I began using Retin-A to treat chronic cystic acne, and I've been on a prescription for Retin-A for 10 years now," she told PEOPLE. "I know Retin-A works. I have used it to control my acne. But what I learned is what everyone else has discovered over the past couple years: that Retin-A also acts as a de-aging agent."

Let's hope we can all look as luminous as Cher when we reach our 70s!
