Chrissy Teigen has opened up about the loss of her baby Jack as a result of pregnancy complications, claiming that she's still in the process of processing what happened to her and her family.

Back in October of 2020, Teigen revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage after telling fans that she was experiencing heavy bleeding.

In a statement posted to their social media accounts the day after her hospital admission, Chrissy and her husband John Legend wrote broke the tragic news of the loss of their baby Jack in-utero.

The couple wrote: "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before.

"We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough."

They continued: "We never decide on our babies' names until the last possible moment after they're born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack.

"So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. To our Jack - I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn't give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you."

Now, according to The Daily Mirror, the 35-year-old model and Sports Illustrated influencer spoke about her grief in a recent appearance on Ellen Degeneres' talk show.

Per The Mirror, Chrissy reflected on some of the pictures taken of her in hospital after receiving the devastating news, stating:

"Looking at those pictures now, it seems like so long ago. And also, of course, everything was such a blur. Even thinking back to it now, I am still in therapy about it and I'm still coming to terms with it."

Take a look at Ellen's interview with Chrissy in the video below:

She continued: "I have maternity clothes, and there are things that I bought for my eighth month and my ninth month. So it's just hard because he would've been born this week, so you look at those things and you have these constant reminders."

She added that she was glad she had been so candid about her personal trauma, stating: "It was a really transformative thing for me and in a way, it really saved me, because I don't think that I would've discovered therapy and then sobriety and this path of feeling good about myself and feeling like a new person."
