At the beginning of their romance, Riverdale costars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart were fairly low-key about their relationship. Their on-screen chemistry was evident from the start, and fans had long suspected that they were getting close off-set, too.
"Since the show began, people have wanted Lili and I to be together," Sprouse said back in 2017.
"People have wanted Lili and Camila [Mendes, who plays Veronica on the television show Riverdale] to be together. People have wanted KJ and I to be together. People have wanted every actor on this show to be in a union that they could make real.
"But truthfully, it's very pleasing that people talk about Lili and I in that way because it means that we're resonating so strongly that people really want that to be true."
Shortly after saying that, the Riverdale actors went public - and they've been giving us pure adorableness ever since then.
In a recent interview with Glamour, Sprouse gave a little more detail on his relationship with Reinhart; in particular, the most romantic gesture he's ever made for her.
"I really like the road-trip date," Sprouse said, referencing an outing that was actually picked up by the press at the time.
"I took my girlfriend [Reinhart] on a date where we drove to this location deep into Canada, and I surprised her with a big hot-air balloon adventure, which was quite a bit of fun. I like traveling quite a bit. I like road-tripping. Those grand experiences always end up yielding the greatest memories—and the greatest romances."
The former Suite Life star then went on to say that he's a romantic at heart, and loves the unexpected excitement that comes with a relationship.
"My language of love is quality time," he said. "I'm not really the type of person that likes going to a movie and sitting in silence. Maybe a little breaking and entering! Some photography! Who knows?"

And it's clear from Sprouse's taste in films that he's a sucker for a soppy love-story. When asked which movies never fail to make him cry, he said:
"Up. The first 10 minutes of Up is seriously one of the greatest romances ever. It just really pulls on your heartstrings. The other one that never fails to make me cry is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I just think it's beautiful.
The narrative that two people were so in love but it ended up going so poorly toward the end that they were willing to erase their memories and live in this blissful ignorance is really powerful. The movie's extremely well-done. I'm a huge fan of Jim Carrey. Those two movies really hit me hard."
Hmm - perhaps his love of Up was what inspired the balloon trip? Who knows! Either way, it's clear that Sprouse and Reinhart are super loved up, and we just can't get enough of how sweet they are together. Let's hope they have many more years - and balloon trips - together.
