Comedian Andy Dick addresses concerns after being 'revived by passersby following alleged drug overdose'
On Tuesday, comedian Andy Dick was reportedly found unresponsive on the streets of Hollywood, seemingly suffering from a drug overdose. Eyewitnesses observed the 59-year-old comedian collapsed on a concrete staircase, leaning against a wall outside a building.
According to photos from TMZ, Dick appeared limp, wearing a brown jacket, pajama pants, and Crocs, with his signature rectangular glasses lying on the ground nearby. A man was seen trying to prop him up while several others frantically called for help.
Passers-by acted quickly, administering a dose of Narcan, a life-saving drug used to reverse opioid overdoses. Dick reportedly regained consciousness after the medication was administered, and first responders from the Los Angeles Fire and Police Departments soon arrived on the scene.
Despite the incident, Dick declined further medical treatment and refused to be transported to the hospital, stating to TMZ, that he's "alive" and "OK," but did not elaborate further on the situation.
