Last week, beauty YouTuber James Charles saw his subscriber count decline drastically, following fellow content creator Tati Westbrook's explosive allegations against him.
The 19-year-old lost more than 2.6 million subscribers over the course of a few days, but now it looks like that number is slowly climbing back up again. Following a recent response, he garnered 766,000 followers, and his subscriber count currently sits at 14 million, as opposed to the 16.5 million he had before the scandal.
Today, he uploaded a 42-minute video titled, No More Lies, responding to all the accusations, and telling viewers that this has been ''the darkest time I've ever had to go through'' and that there had been ''a lot of misinformation going around.''
"It is very important to me that this video has all the information, all the facts, all the receipts, and is current and present because I will not be addressing it again," he said.
Charles then proceeded to address Westbrook's claim that he had ''manipulated'' someone's sexuality. "I am a 19-year-old virgin... I really don't get a lot of action,'' he explained. "I have never and would never and will never use my fame, money, or power to manipulate or get any sexual actions from a guy. That is disgusting."
''I made my video today NOT to start a war, but to take responsibility for my actions and clear my name,'' he later clarified on Twitter.
"There ARE two sides to every story, & now you've heard both. I'm sure more will be said, but I'm moving on. You can form your opinions, but PLEASE do not send any hate to anyone. I'm literally begging all of you. The internet has seen enough negativity in the last few weeks. Text your friends and tell them you love them. Give someone a compliment (but don't be too forward)! Appreciate what you have and those around you. Love you all."
He even went so far to thank Westbrook and another beauty vlogger, Jeffree Star, for "taking some of the responsibility for blowing this whole thing up and for starting everything."
In a video titled Bye Sister, Westbrook claimed that Charles had used his fame and money to manipulate people's emotions.
"You tried to trick a straight man into thinking that he's gay yet again, and somehow you're the victim," she asserted. "You know it's really disgusting to manipulate someone's sexuality."
She previously accused her former friend of being disloyal after promoting a rival hair supplement to hers.
Westbrook has responded to Charles' recent upload, saying that the video is ''littered'' with ''lies and half truths''.
