Dave Bautista has opened up about a clause that he insists is in every contract he signs, and it's pretty clever.
Bautista was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up, and honestly, he has turned into one of my favorite actors.
Whether he's portraying Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy or he's taking on more serious roles, I think he nails it every time.

Anyway, enough of me declaring my love for Dave Bautista.
The former WWE star took part in an interview with Men’s Health last year where he shared one of his non-negotiables when it comes to maintaining his fitness.
Because after all, being in top shape is a necessary requirement for wrestlers and action stars.
“It’s actually in my contract that I have to eat no less than every four hours,” Bautista disclosed.
The former bodybuilder, known for his impressive physique, detailed his diet while preparing for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. He primarily followed a plant-based regimen with occasional servings of fish throughout the week.
“In between those meals if I get hungry, I typically do an almond butter and banana, or a vegan, gluten-free grilled cheese is my favorite go-to,” he added.
Bautista, who has long been open about his dedication to fitness, described the gym as his “sanctuary,” emphasizing its mental health benefits.
“It’s therapeutic for me,” he said.
However, the Guardians of the Galaxy star surprised fans last year when he underwent a dramatic weight loss transformation for his role in The Killer’s Game, directed by J.J. Perry.

The action-comedy, based on Jay Bonansinga’s 1997 novel, follows a veteran hitman (played by Bautista) who, after a misdiagnosis of a terminal illness, places a hit on himself to secure an insurance payout for his girlfriend, Maize Barkley (Sofia Boutella). When he discovers he is actually in perfect health, he must fight to survive a relentless wave of assassins.
The film also stars Terry Crews, Scott Adkins, and Ben Kingsley.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Bautista admitted that his decision to slim down was not just for roles but also for personal well-being.
“I just got fat,” he admitted, referring to his size during Knock at the Cabin. “Then I noticed the more I trimmed down the better I felt, and I also noticed the more I trimmed down the better I looked on camera, the better I looked next to other actors.”

Despite standing at an imposing 6'4" and 240 pounds, Bautista noted how perceptions of his physique have changed over the years.
“I even saw online some people are worried about my health and when I say it out loud to people ‘I’m 6'4, 240lbs,’ it sounds like when you say that out loud I’m a big person.
“But to me, because people have seen me so much bigger over the years, they think I’m like anorexic, but I’m just a large human being.
“So at 6'4, 240lbs next to your typical actor I look like a gorilla and it’s distracting.”
