David Beckham has officially been named the UK's first billionaire athlete, according to the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List.
The soccer icon, 51, has a combined estimated fortune with his wife - Spice Girls star turned fashion designed Victoria Beckham - of a massive £1.185 billion ($1,579,368), according to the outlet.
David's wealth has more than doubled over the last year, largely due to the value of his ownership stake in Inter Miami CF soaring due to the club's continued commercial growth since the arrival of Lionel Messi.
David is said to have played a pivotal role in convincing Messi to sign on for another three years in Miami, the outlet reports.
But it's not just the football side of things adding to his wealth, as David also has a property complex built around Nu Stadium, the soccer team’s new 26,700-seater base near Miami International Airport.
The 131-acre plot is home to offices, shops, residential buildings, and restaurants, and is said to be worth over £370 million ($493 million).
Shareholders of David's UK company, DRJB Holdings, were also paid out around £43 million ($57 million) in divdends in 2024, followed by a further £17.2 million ($23 million) in early 2025.
The dad-of-four retains a 45 percent stake in the business after the remainder of his commercial empire was sold to Authentic Brands Group.
A 2022 agreement combined his business interests in exchange for 45 percent of future profits, with the deal paying David $200 million in cash and $50 million in stock.
This, combined with Victoria's fashion business, has seen the family's wealth soar.
After Victoria, 52, invested £23 million ($31 million) to support her self-titled brand when it suffered early losses, the company's fortunes turned around to bring in over £100 million ($133 million) per year in revenue, according to the Sunday Times.
The brand is now reportedly valued at around £375 million ($500 million) by sources linked to Neo Investment Partners, of which the Beckhams own an estimated 35 percent stake, equating to around £130 million (£173 million), per the outlet.
Given that the Beckhams show no signs of slowing down, it's likely their wealth will continue to grow over the coming years, too.
