New details of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce settlement revealed in documents

The long-running divorce battle between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan has reached a resolution, with new court documents shedding light on the details of their financial settlement.

After years of negotiations and public disputes, the former couple has finally agreed on how to split their assets, including retirement accounts and earnings tied to Tatum’s iconic film Magic Mike.

The Retirement Account Split

According to a court filing from Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the former couple has agreed to divide their retirement accounts, per the Daily Mail.

Specifically, Dewan, 44, will receive 50 percent of Tatum’s Screen Actors Guild producers’ pension plan, covering money earned between their marriage from 2009 to 2018.

In turn, Tatum will receive the same percentage of Dewan’s SAG pension plan for the same period.

This settlement, however, wasn’t without its contentious points, particularly concerning the financial details tied to Tatum’s hit film Magic Mike.

The Magic Mike Dispute

Tatum’s role as both the star and producer of Magic Mike led to significant tension between the former spouses.

Dewan had claimed she was owed half of the profits from the film, alleging that it was financed using marital funds. Tatum’s legal team, however, disputed that argument.

In the court filing, it was revealed that Dewan had previously accused Tatum’s team of withholding crucial financial information related to the film’s production.

The dispute was so intense that, at one point, Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh and Dewan’s fiancé, stage star Steve Kazee, were considered potential witnesses in court.

The issue arose from the film's immense success. Made on a modest budget of just $7 million, Magic Mike went on to gross over $167 million, making it a massive hit.

The film’s success sparked a subsequent franchise, which included a sequel, Magic Mike XXL, in 2015, and a third film, Magic Mike’s Last Dance, released in 2023.

The Magic Mike franchise also expanded into a Las Vegas stage show and a reality series.

The Settlement Timeline

Tatum, 45, and Dewan’s divorce proceedings have spanned several years.

After separating in April 2018, Dewan filed for divorce in October of that year. The couple, who share a daughter, Everly, born in 2013, were legally declared single in November 2019.

However, despite their official separation, the financial negotiations dragged on for much longer.

In August 2024, Tatum expressed frustration with the lengthy process. In court filings, he accused Dewan of delaying the resolution of their financial issues, stating he had made numerous settlement proposals and participated in multiple mediations to avoid litigation.

"I have made countless settlement proposals, attended multiple mediations, my attorneys have prepared numerous drafts of proposed judgments, and I have tried to resolve issues with [Dewan]," Tatum said.

"While we have resolved some issues, the most significant financial issues in the case remain unresolved because [Dewan] continues to delay resolution and provides one reason after another for why this case cannot settle."

Tatum also argued that he did not believe Dewan was entitled to spousal support.

Life After Divorce: New Relationships and Family Growth

Despite the acrimonious divorce, both Tatum and Dewan have moved on with their personal lives.

Dewan has been in a relationship with Steve Kazee since 2018, and the couple got engaged in 2020. They are parents to two children: a son, Callum, born in March 2020, and a daughter, Rhiannon, born in June 2024.

Meanwhile, Tatum’s romantic life has also been in the spotlight.

After his divorce, he dated English singer Jessie J from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, Tatum began a relationship with actress Zoë Kravitz, and the couple got engaged in 2023.

However, their engagement ended the same year, and Tatum has since been romantically linked to model Inka Williams.
