Reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter has joined the manhunt for Brian Laundrie.
The 68-year-old reality star, whose real name is Duane Chapman, joined the hunt when he arrived at the home of Brian's parents, Christopher and Roberta on Saturday afternoon (September 27), the Daily Mail reports.
The missing 23-year-old has officially been dubbed a person of interest after his partner, Gabby Petito, disappeared and was later found dead, with an autopsy confirming that it was a homicide.
Chapman said that he knocked on the door of Laundie's parents multiple times, saying: "I need to ask him where his son is. Is he in there?"
The Daily Mail asked Chapman if he believed he'd be able to find Brain, and he replied: "Yes - I will find him."
He added: "I'm chasing several leads. We've got a lot of leads. I can't tell you more but we are getting leads every ten minutes."
In the video below, Chapman explains where he thinks Brian is:Brian has been missing for nearly two weeks now, but according to Petito's best friend, Rose Davis, he has lived off the grid for longer than this before.
"I know he lived in the Appalachians for what I believe was three months, and he did it by himself, so I know he's skilled at it," Davis told the Daily Mail.
"He and Gabby both told me stories about it," Rose added. "And you could see the enthusiasm in his voice when he would talk about his adventures by himself like that trip into the Appalachians," which is over 2,000 miles from Georgia to Maine.
Rose, 21, said Brian often preferred to be by himself when she spent time with him and Gabby and described him as jealous and controlling.
"I think that's one reason why Brian rushed into this van trip," Rose said of the cross-country trip the couple began in July. "He saw how close we were getting and he realized that after every fight, she was staying at my house. And he didn't have control over that."
According to Chapman's representative, he has volunteered his services to help Petito's family, and he has vowed to fully cooperate with law enforcement about any information he may receive.
"Dog and Francie have experienced extreme loss themselves," the representative said. "Their hearts go out to Gabby's family and want to help bring justice for her death."
