Former US President Donald Trump has accused Meghan Markle of "disrespecting the Queen" and "using" Prince Harry.

Speaking to UK-based far-right pundit Nigel Farage on GB News, Trump stated that he believes that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have "hurt" the royal family, amid "Megxit" and the couple's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

As reported by Daily Mail, Trump said that his respect and admiration for the Queen stemmed from his Scottish mother.

"I think she's been very disrespectful to the Queen, who’s such a great woman, such a great person, a historic person," the ex-POTUS said.

"I think she’s very disrespectful to the Royal Family and most importantly to the Queen. I think Harry’s been used and been used terribly. I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen," he added.

Trump also said that the Duchess of Sussex was "very inappropriate" when Farage asked him about claims that Meghan had used her royal title to lobby Congress members about paternity leave, via using Sussexes' headed paper.

"She is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate," he asserted.

This comes after Trump criticized Meghan back in March over speculation that she would consider running for president.

"I hope that happens because if that happened I think I'd have an even stronger feeling toward running," he said, before adding: "I'm not a fan of hers."

"I think that what she talks about the Royal Family and the Queen, and I happen to think, I know the Queen as you know, I met with the Queen and I think the Queen is a tremendous person and I am not a fan of Meghan," he added.

Back in 2020, he took aim at the duchess once again after she proffered her support for the incumbent president, Joe Biden. He said that he was "not a fan of hers" and wished the Duke of Sussex "a lot of luck because he's gonna need it."
