Drake has announced that he is taking the Kansas City Chiefs' side in their Super Bowl LVIII match against the San Francisco 49ers because of the Swifties.

The game - which is one of the most highly-anticipated sporting events in the world - is almost upon us for another year, with the Chiefs and Niners set to battle it out at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

According to ESPN, the Chiefs have been projected to take home the Lombardi Trophy, with 76.6% of experts interviewed by the publication favoring the Missouri team.

Even the 37-year-old 'God's Plan' star has joined in on the predictions as he dropped a whopping $1.15 million bet on Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his team to win their third World Series in five seasons on Sunday (February 11).

Taking to Instagram on Saturday (February 10), the 'Hotline Bling' star posted a screenshot of a $1,150,000 bet on Stake, an online crypto casino where users bet on sports games and play traditional casino games.

He shared his simple reasoning in the caption, writing: "I can’t bet against the swifties." Should the Chiefs win, Drake's estimated payout is $2,346,000.

Of course, many shocked fans couldn't believe he dropped that much money on the game as one person on X (formerly Twitter) reacted: "I can’t believe rich people be spending so much money on crazy things."

Another user chimed in: "Imagine having that much money that you can casually drop a 1.15 million dollar bet and then post about it on the Internet." A third exclaimed: "1.15 MILLION BITCOIN????? damn, that amount of money is enough to sustain me for a lifetime."

Meanwhile, a few fans pointed out that Drake hasn't done well when it comes to betting on sporting events as he lost $1 million gambling against France in the 2022 World Cup.

In addition to this, the 'One Dance' performer also laid down $700,000 on Sean Strickland to successfully defend his UFC Middleweight Championship against Dricus Du Plessis in the UFC 297 main event. But sadly, Strickland lost the belt via unanimous decision.

Taylor Swift will be cheering on Kelce at the big game as she wrapped up her fourth Eras show in Tokyo, Japan, and is expected to make it to Las Vegas via private jet.

The Embassy of Japan assured the 34-year-old singer's loyal supporters that she will have time to attend the Super Bowl in a statement, that read: "Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins.

"We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red," they added.
