Drake has hit out at "weirdos" who comment on his relationship with 19-year-old Millie Bobby Brown.
The controversy dates back to 2018 when Brown, then just 14 years old, revealed that Drake had been texting her with "boy advice."
This revelation sparked widespread discussion, primarily due to the significant 18-year age gap between Brown and the rapper, raising questions about the appropriateness of such advice for a teenage girl.
In response to media scrutiny at the time, Brown took to Instagram and called the situation "weird" and urged people not to "make a lovely friendship your headline".
Now, several years later, Drake, aged 36, has finally addressed the controversy in his music.
In his latest track 'Another Late Night', featured on his recently released album For All The Dogs, Drake drops the lyrics: "Weirdos in my comments talkin’ ‘bout some Millie Bobby, look / Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin’."
For All The Dogs, which was released on Friday (October 6), boasts an impressive 23-song tracklist featuring collaborations with artists like SZA, Bad Bunny, 21 Savage, Sexxy Red, Chief Keef, and many more.
Following the album's release, Drake made a significant announcement. He shared that he intends to take a break from music for about a year or possibly longer to prioritize his health. Drake revealed that he has been grappling with ongoing stomach issues, which require his full attention, per the Independent.
"I probably won't make music for a little bit," stated Drake. "I need to focus on my health, first and foremost, and I'll talk about that soon enough. Nothing crazy, but just like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life."
Drake continued: "I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on. So, I'ma lock the door in the studio for a little bit. I don't even know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or so, maybe a little longer."
In regards to Brown, she is currently planning her wedding with Jacob Bongiovi, the son of the legendary rockstar Jon Bon Jovi.
However, if you've somehow bagged an invite to that wedding, you shouldn't expect to hear any of the musical talents from the star.
During a recent appearance on Today, Brown said: "I feel like that's asking me to go and like, do a full-on play for everyone. I think the man needs a break. He doesn't stop."
Brown added: "He's always doing tennis or singing lessons. I think he needs a break, maybe it's a three-hour break."
Referencing a past incident in 2016 when Bon Jovi surprised a wedding audience with an impromptu performance of 'Livin' on a Prayer', Brown stated that the rocker would attend the wedding as a guest, not as a performer. She said: "That would be wild. I don't know if he'll be able to do just that."
