Dwayne Johnson has asked a wax museum in Paris to "update" the skin tone on his figure after many questioned the original design.

Johnson is easily one of the most recognizable people in the world due to his remarkable career in both the world of wrestling and movies.

If you see him and Kevin Hart advertising a movie together, you know that it's going to be a good time.

However, he might not be so easily recognizable if you happened to encounter his wax double in the heart of the French capital.

The Grévin Museum, a must-visit destination for any visitor to Paris, had been building up anticipation for its new waxwork exhibit dedicated to the 51-year-old Jumanji star throughout the month.

With competitions, behind-the-scenes glimpses of the sculpture's creation, and questions about its ideal placement, expectations were soaring. Yet, when the big reveal finally arrived, it wasn't the grand event the museum might have hoped for.

The waxwork of Johnson, a towering 6-foot-5 former WWE Champion, is posed in a blue polo shirt with his arms folded. While the stance exudes The Rock's characteristic confidence, many have found themselves questioning the likeness of his facial features.

Even the man himself has raised his eyebrows at the waxwork and has asked the museum to update the skin tone to make the resemblance better.

Johnson shared a video of comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. discussing the statue, in which he jokingly says that they "turned the rock into a pebble."

In the caption, the star wrote: "For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at 'updating' my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color."

In the original video shared by the museum, many expressed their thoughts with one person writing: "Not one of your best guys - considering the quality of the rest of the museum, there’s something not right about the sculpt on this."

Another comment said: "[Dwayne] THE EXTRA INSTA SMOOTH FILTER Johnson."

Some even went as far as to suggest that the waxwork bore a closer resemblance to fellow wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista.

However, amid the criticism, there were still many enthusiasts who tagged their friends and shared their excitement about the opportunity to finally meet The Rock... in wax form.

In other Dwayne-related news, the wrestling world has been buzzing with speculation surrounding a potential WWE return for the former champion ever since his surprise appearance on Friday Night SmackDown last month.

'The Great One' last stepped into the WWE ring in 2016 when he had a brief match against Wyatt Family member Erik Rowan at WrestleMania 32, lasting only a few seconds. This impromptu encounter was more of a "spot" than a match.

Fans have been eagerly speculating about a possible in-ring return for The Rock, especially after his cousin, Roman Reigns (Joseph Anoa'i), was crowned the Undisputed WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion. Reigns, whose championship reign has surpassed 1,100 days, claims the title of the "Head of the Table" in his family, which includes The Rock.

With WrestleMania 40 scheduled for next year, many WWE fans have been hoping to witness a showdown between Roman Reigns and Dwayne Johnson to settle the debate of who is the ultimate champion.
