A new waxwork of Ed Sheeran has been unveiled in a German museum and the final product is... interesting.

Anyone who's anyone wants to have a wax figure made of them, right?

Madame Tussauds has long been established as the home of wax figures of celebs, as people flock to locations all across the world to pose with their idols.

The issue with making figures of popular celebrities is that if they aren't a good likeness, it's pretty easy to tell... and Ed Sheeran's fans are currently disputing whether one of the singer is good or not.

Unveiled in the Panoptikum Hamburg wax museum in Germany, the waxwork of the singer sees him standing with one hand in his pocket and a guitar over his shoulder.

At first glance, it definitely looks like Sheeran but it's when you take a closer inspection that question marks are raised.

He's got the usual red hair, the beard, the sort of shaggy look - but there's something a little off about it and fans have noticed.

The images of the waxwork are currently doing the rounds on social media, and people can't help but offer their thoughts about the 'Shape Of You' Singer.

"Nothing like him would scare the living daylights out of you if you met him on the street," one person commented, as a second added a playful remark using Sheeran's music, saying: "When you’re face don’t look like it [used] to before."

There were a few comments that liked it though, as one person simply commented: "Love the waxwork of Ed Sheeran," which couldn't be more to the point.

Sheeran will stand alongside other famous figures in the museum, which offers a variety of waxworks from Angelina Jolie, to Queen Elizabeth II and even historical figures like Henry VIII.

Earlier this year, Sheeran won a copyright case after he was accused of copying Marvin Gaye's hit song 'Let's Get It On' in his 2015 track 'Thinking Out Loud'.

The British singer was sued by Kathy Griffin, the daughter of Ed Townsend who co-wrote the 70's hit with Gaye. She was seeking $100 million in restitution.

A jury ruled in favor of Sheeran and cleared him alongside his co-writer Amy Wadge of any wrongdoing, meaning the lawsuit filed in 2017 was over.

So the question is, are you going to Germany to get a picture with the questionable Ed?
