Dwayne Johnson has finally revealed the reason he urinates in water bottles when he's working out at the gym.
Back in 2017, the 49-year-old wrestler-turned-actor shared an Instagram video in which a bottle filled with urine could be seen in shot.
Noticing the bottle himself, Johnson said in the video: "I just realized you all just saw my big bottle of pee. Look, I go hardcore when I train. I don't have time to go to the bathroom. I find a bottle, I pee in it, and I keep training like a beast."
He also stated in the caption of the video that if he ever feels the urge to relieve himself when he's working out, he will "do it in a bottle" as he's "that kinda guy" and wants to "just get the job done".
Naturally, when the media caught wind of the video, his toilet habit at the gym made headlines.
And while some fans may have assumed the Moana star was being tongue-in-cheek in the video, Johnson has now confirmed in a recent interview that he was being deadly serious.
Speaking to Esquire, Johnson said: "Well, yeah, the headline is actually true, I do pee in my water bottles. But let me give context to that because everyone's leaning in now to what this means."
He explained: "It's not a water bottle that I've actually purchased solely for water that you wash and you clean when you're done using it. These are just bottles that I'm no longer using."
Johnson also shared that the gyms that he goes to usually don't have restrooms, which is why he chooses to bottle his pee.
He said: "I usually stay pretty hydrated. I need to go to the bathroom a lot. Not a lot, but probably a couple of times during every workout I have to go to the bathroom. So I break out the bottle.
"Usually the gyms that I work out in don't have a bathroom, 'cause they're the Iron Paradise and there's no bathroom there. It's just hot, sweaty, and dirty."
However, we don't recommend you try this at your local gym. Stick to the restroom!
