Actress Elizabeth Hurley posted a festive snap of herself and her 17-year-old son Damian to her Instagram stories yesterday - and we can't get over how similar they look.

Clad in black beanie hats, each with long flowing brown locks, the mother and son really do like twins. Damian, whose father is Steve Bing, posted the same photo to his Instagram with the caption "happy christmas !!"

Needless to say, the pic was inundated with comments commending the pair for the sweet snap.

"Merry Christmas and best to you and yours," one user wrote. "What a beautiful picture."

"The most beautiful mother son duo," added another fan.

As well as posting snaps of herself and her teenage son for her followers, Hurley also likes to make them laugh:

"You look like Sisters," wrote a third alongside two heart-eyes emojis.

The teenager was also compared to Liz after he paid homage to his mother's iconic Versace dress by donning a chic jacket made with safety pins. Elizabeth later shared two photos of herself dancing while in a white and gold sari style dress.

She captioned the post: "Happy Christmas #homesweethome #indianstyle #toomuchchocolate #toomuchvodka #bedtime".

Elizabeth previously told People she has always ensured her son's education was a top priority.

"I always say, you don’t want to be a bore at dinner. You have to know geography, you need to know history, you need to know ancient history, it’s interesting," she told the publication.

That's not to say that Hurley does not want her son to forge a role for himself in show business if he happens to have the talent for it: ''And then of course, if he wants to be—and if he were talented enough and lucky enough to be a movie star, how nice that would be. But to me that’s the icing on the cake after you [become] a fully-rounded person."
