Emily Ratajkowski has opened up about her ''emotional and mental'' battle in quarantine, and has revealed what she's been doing to keep her ''spirits up'' amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking during Vogue's A Zoom Of One's Own video series, the model said: "For me, it's more of an emotional and mental battle of keeping my spirits up and staying busy."

She is currently isolating in her New York home with husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard.

The 28-year-old had been lending a philanthropic hand while in lockdown, however, saying that she's trying to focus on "the social justice space", especially since US Senator Bernie Sanders dropped out of the race for the Democratic Party leadership.

Ratajkowski was an outspoken supporter of Sanders, and she's been feeling his absence keenly as he regularly spoke out on issues of inequality and injustice within the United States.

"I'm planning on doing a lot more in the social justice space because that's so important right now, but also because Bernie dropped out, I also need some sort of hope," she continued. "And advocating for people who don't have advocates in these situations feels good."

Ratajkowski also provided some advice for those struggling to adapt to life in quarantine. "Listen to your body and stop pressuring yourself. Please,' she advised, saying that she's been keeping "sane" by doing basic tasks like styling her hair. "You'll be amazed at how much little rituals of self-care can help lift your mood."
