Angelina Jolie had an emotional time this week as she dropped off her eldest daughter, Zahara, at Spelman College, People reported.
The 47-year-old mom of six was seen in a recent Instagram post shared by the college's Vice President of Student Affairs, where she was shown meeting president Dr. Helen Gayle.
When asked by Gayle how she feels about sending Zahara to college, Jolie was heard to have said: "I'm gonna start crying! I have not started crying yet."
The United Nations Refugees ambassador had previously shared to her 13.5 million Instagram followers that her 17-year-old daughter would be attending the prestigious college, captioning an image of Zahara and a group of friends with: "Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl."
Spelman College is a private, historically Black women's liberal arts college in Atlanta, Georgia. According to the school's website, they are a "global leader" in education for women of African descent, and are dedicated to "[empowering] women to engage the many cultures of the world and [inspiring] a commitment to positive social change through service."
The college appears to be synonymous with excellence, boasting a number of famous faces as their alumnae; including lawyer/Martin Luther King's daughter, Bernice King, and African-American novelist, Alice Walker.

Zahara's dad, Brad Pitt, also shared his thoughts on his daughter's exciting next chapter, telling People at the premiere of his new film, Bullet Train: "that's beautiful [...] really beautiful."

Zahara is not the first child in the Jolie-Pitt clan to go to college - her older brother, Maddox, is also studying. However, the 21-year-old decided to go a little further than Atlanta; picking Yonsei University in South Korea as his school of choice, per US Weekly.
Maddox has been studying biotechnology at the university since 2019. Jolie spoke to Entertainment Tonight after dropping her eldest child off on his first day, saying: "Oh, my God, [I did] an 'embarrass your children ugly cry!'
"I also, at some point, [put] big [sun]glasses on and the amount of times I turned and waved … I think I turned around six times … and he sweetly stayed and kept waving, knowing that I was going to keep turning around," the doting mom added.
Well, that's two down, only four to go, Angelina!
