Estelle Harris, who played George's mother Estelle Costanza on Seinfeld and was the voice of Mrs. Potato Head in the Toy Story films, has died at the age of 93.
Harris died on Saturday, April 2 of natural causes, with her representative Michael Eisenstadt confirming the sad news. The beloved actress was mere weeks away from celebrating her 94th birthday on April 22.
“It is with the greatest remorse and sadness to announce that Estelle Harris has passed on this evening at 6:25 PM,” her son Glen Harris, who recalled holding her as she drew her last breath, told Deadline. “Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy and love were practically unrivaled, and she will be terribly missed by all those who knew her.”

Harris was renowned for her witty delivery and unique voice - particularly in her role as the mother of George (played by Jason Alexander) in the hit 90s show Seinfeld, where she appeared in 27 episodes between 1992 and 1998.
She was also an accomplished voice actor and was a much-loved addition to the cast of the Toy Story series, where she played Mrs. Potato Head in the second, third and fourth chapters.
The actress managed to sustain a flourishing career both on stage and on screen, also appearing in the following series: Futurama, The Looney Tunes Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, iCarly, ER, Mind of Mencia, Phil of the Future, Dave the Barbarian, Kim Possible, The Proud Family, House of Mouse, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Godzilla: The Series, The Wild Thornberrys, Hercules, Cybill, Living Single, Moesha, The Mask, Night Stand, Star Trek: Voyager, The Tick, Aladdin, Good Advice, Mad About You, Married… with Children and Night Court.
Jason Alexander has since paid tribute to his onscreen mom on Twitter, writing: "One of my favorite people has passed - my tv mama, Estelle Harris. The joy of playing with her and relishing her glorious laughter was a treat. I adore you, Estelle. Love to your family. Serenity now and always. #RIPEstelleHarris."
Harris is survived by three children, along with three grandsons and a great-grandson.
