Evangeline Lilly is famed for her long, luscious dark brown hair, but it is no more.
In a series of timelapse videos, the actress filmed herself shaving her head, using a combination of scissors to chop off her locks and a razor to shave off the stubble that remained.
The 40-year-old captioned the eye-popping post on Instagram: "#homecut (swipe) Stop or keep going?? (For those of you that follow me on @thesquickerwonkers…you already know."

Needless to say, fans were quick to comment on the actress's dramatic new look, with the majority of them praising it.
One commented: "I loved your long hair but the short hair suits you, too."
"I would say STOP!!! WTF!!! But then i'd remember its not my first time too doing that kind of crazy, soooooo…GO FOR IT!!!!!!" another remarked.
However, the internet being the internet, not everyone had nice things to say about Lilly's shaved head.
"Don't repeat it again plz," wrote one Instagram user.
A second added: "All that beautiful hair gone!" followed by two despairing emoji.
But, as is the case with all looks, it really is up to the individual, and Lilly posted another snap of herself with her new look, appearing to be completely pleased with her decision.
It was captioned: "Hello [world]. It's a BEAUTIFUL day."
It's not currently known whether the Lost star went for this dramatic new look in preparation for an acting role or if it's simply something she wanted to do personally.
In terms of upcoming roles, the actress is expected to reprise her role as Hope van Dyne in Ant-Man 3, which is expected to be released in 2022.
