Fans are urging Naomi Campbell to delete an image of herself at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars Party that she posted on social media, which appears to have undergone a great deal of editing.
Campbell, 52, was one of multiple A-list stars at the annual Oscars afterparty. The beauty donned a cream-colored figure-hugging gown with floral breastplates and gold nipple embellishments. She paired the look with a matching pair of heels, some gold necklaces and a bracelet.
Plenty of photos were taken of Campbell at the event, with the fashion icon posing skillfully for the cameras.
Taking to Instagram after the event, Campbell posted the above image for the viewing pleasure of her 14.6 million followers - only the picture appeared to have been heavily airbrushed.
In the version that she posted, her skin appears lighter, her skin smoother and her face and nose slimmer.
Take a look for yourselves:It didn't take long for eagle-eyed netizens to notice that the photo looked drastically different from the original, with one fan branding it the "worst photoshopped pic" they'd ever seen.
Another urged the supermodel to delete the snap, insisting: "You looked amazing without photoshop!!! You don't need to edit your photos!"
A third questioned the need to edit the photo given that she was spoilt for choice where stunning pictures of her at the Oscars party were concerned. The commenter said: "She is Naomi !! And her team wasn’t able to find a single ONE good photo?"
A different commenter wanted to know: "[Why] the editing?"
A fifth fan said: "You don’t need filters!!! Keep it real Queen!"
Another simply wrote: "Photoshop is real man!"
A final user chimed in to write: "Girl [I love you] but why the airbrushing."
Campbell has accomplished a great deal in her nearly-40-year career, but these days, the veteran model is focusing on raising her child.
She announced she had become a first-time mom to a baby girl in May 2021. As she'd kept the news under wraps for some time, there had been speculation that she'd adopted her daughter.
In a February 2022 interview with Vogue, Campbell confirmed that the little one - whose name she hasn't yet announced - is her biological child , telling the magazine: "She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child."
"I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her," she added. "But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It's the best thing I've ever done."
