Pugh has left her mark on the world of acting with her incredible performances in multiple award-winning films such as Little Women, Oppenheimer, and Don't Worry Darling.

But even after becoming one of the most popular actresses of all time, a handful of people are still confused as to how to pronounce the star's name.

Thankfully Pugh has cleared it up once and for all.

In a new episode of Wired's iconic Autocomplete interview, she and her recent We Live in Time co-star Andrew Garfield answered a handful of questions based on the most popular internet searches related to their names, one of which was "how to pronounce Florence Pugh's last name."

“Pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew,” she immediately started saying as she made finger guns to imitate where the sound was coming from. “Or, like a pew, like a church pew.”

Garfield also joined in with the gun sounds, but then seemed unconvinced by it asking: “How do you really pronounce it though?”

“Pugh,” the Midsommar star responded, giving a third comparison to her name as she added: “Yeah, it’s Hugh but with a P.”

“Be honest, finally,” Garfield continued to pry.

“Alright, it’s Pudge,” the actress joked, laughing. (Check out the interview below, the moment kicks off at 4:40.)

And it really was news to some, as one fan commented: "Before watching this, I thought her last name should be pronounced as 'PUG'".

Over on Instagram, one person said: "I used to say Pug like Hug."

And another confused fan added: "I used to pronounce it as 'Pug-h'".

Other questions involved "How old was Florence Pugh in Little Women" and strangely, "What knife does Florence Pugh use."

Social media users loved the interview, with many stating that the actress seemed happy throughout it.

"This is one of the best interviews I’ve watched in a long time," wrote one user while another added: "They give off goofy sibling vibes."

A third commented: "I really love seeing Florence being happy during interviews."

And this user stated: "You know it’s gonna be a great film when the two love interests have this good of an off-screen friendship."

Pugh and Garfield star in Nick Payne's We Live in Time, directed by John Crowley.

The movie's official description reads: "An up-and-coming chef and a recent divorcée find their lives forever changed when a chance encounter brings them together, in a decade-spanning, deeply moving romance."

Just like the interview with Wired, the pair have been extremely charismatic throughout the promotional trail of the tour.

In a new TikTok clip from the MeetCutesNYC account, which usually asks couples how they met, the pair shared some insights into their working relationship.

“Are you two a couple?” the interviewer asked, to which Garfield jokingly responded: “That’s none of your business.”

“We work together,” Pugh clarified.

The actors went on to answer a few more questions including what they’d like to see in the other’s future.

Pugh gave a sweet answer stating that she would like to see Garfield become a father while he responded: "I’d like to see her have more time for herself, to be a person and to just enjoy and smell the flowers, and look out the window and see the view, and have holidays and be with the people she loves."

"We need her work in the world, and in order for that to happen, she needs to have her own privacy and time and space," he added.

We Live in Time is set to be released on October 18.
