Former adult star Lisa Ann called out 'freak' celebrity athlete who asked her to carry out sex request
Adult film star and media personality Lisa Ann publicly slammed a former NHL defenseman for allegedly requesting an unusual sexual favor, bringing attention to boundaries and etiquette between celebrities and those they contact.
In a candid interview with GQ back in 2015, Ann addressed her history with Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Michael Del Zotto, spotlighting a bizarre encounter that led her to call him out in strong terms.
Del Zotto, who played in the NHL with teams including the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers, drew Ann’s ire after making repeated requests during their brief time spending one on one together. Ann explained that the issue stemmed from his suggestions during their first outing.
She says the athlete wanted her to arrange something personal
In the GQ interview, Ann didn’t hold back when asked about Del Zotto and players behaving oddly.
She recalled: “I don’t hook guys up with girls ever. But if I am close with a guy, I will give him my advice. Del Zotto reached out to me through an event. Within the first time of going out one on one, he wanted a threesome. It was just repetitive. It annoyed me so much. I said, ‘Dude you’re a freak and I’m going to blast you to put you in check.’ Sometimes I feel like I’m a silent regulator to these guys, but sometimes I feel like I have to work on the woman’s team too.”
Her description paints the exchange as one where Del Zotto’s persistence crossed her comfort line, prompting her to call him out publicly in order to draw a boundary. While the GQ interview came years after the initial social media flare-up, it echoed the frustration Ann shared with her followers on Twitter, where she labeled his texts as relentless.
Public fallout and social media buzz
The drama originally unfolded on social media, where Ann blasted Del Zotto for pestering her to arrange dates and social meets with other women while he was on the road. She described him as the “most annoying texter in the history of my life” and joked that maybe she should set up a dating profile for him so he could stop asking her to play matchmaker.
Ann tweeted: “Short story... It all started about 2 years ago when I was hosting an event @MichaelDelZotto reached out to the promoter to meet me... I looked him up, he was with the Rangers at the time, looked cute, I thought ok, Pro Athlete, he won’t try to kill or rob me, so sure I will. So, we go on a date, it's nice, hang out—yada yada yada... about a week later he started asking if could hook him up with girls on the road.”
She continued: “I say NO... I say YO, you are a cute kid, you can pull tail, if not have your agent do it... just don’t ask me.... After 4 months of going to games and explaining that to him, I finally gave up.”
After reconnecting later, Ann claimed he returned to the same behavior almost immediately: “We reconnect and start talking and we get right back to this before we even had another date ourselves... I did warn him of this outcome.”
