Holly Madison has opened up about her struggle with body dysmorphia during the time she lived in the Playboy Mansion.
The 41-year-old spoke candidly about her body image issues with her 1 million TikTok followers, telling them she aimed to increase awareness of body dysmorphia, a condition that is typically brushed aside and deemed superficial.
She explained in the video: "I came across one [photo of me] and it reminded me of a moment in my life where I was watching a playback of myself in a fashion show and I thought, 'Oh, my God, I need to lose weight.'"
Madison experienced the height of her body dysmorphia as a Playboy Bunny, which she says stopped her from "being as happy as I could be and really enjoying life as much as I could".
"It’s not worth feeling bad about yourself," she went on. "Like, there are things we all want to improve about ourselves, but it’s not even worth taking the time to be miserable."
The former model was left "terrified" after seeing a particular photo of herself and immediately felt the need to shed "at least" five pounds.
"And that’s ridiculous," she said. "I look like a stick."
Madison first started living in the Playboy Mansion back in 2001, before leaving seven years later following her split from Hugh Hefner, the late founder of the magazine.

She recently claimed on the web series Call Her Daddy that Hefner would deliberately try to create a tense atmosphere between the women in the Playboy Mansion.
"Even before the show was there," the former Playboy Bunny said, "he would very much create double standards and different rules for the girls and it was designed so he could have a big ego and he could feel fought over … It was really gross, in my opinion.
"In my relationship with Hef, things had gotten so bad, he became over the top verbally abusive overnight and I just was panicking. I was like I don’t care what I’m giving up, I have to get out of here."
Hefner passed away in 2017 at the age of 91, five years after tying the knot with his third wife, former Playboy playmate Crystal Harris.
