Gal Gadot has welcomed her fourth child after a tough pregnancy that she kept a secret with her family.

Taking to Instagram, the 38-year-old Wonder Woman actress shared an intimate snapshot cradling her newborn.

In her post, Gadot expressed: "My sweet girl, welcome. The pregnancy was not easy and we made it through."

Adding a touch of humor, she wrote: "Welcome to the house of girls. daddy is pretty cool too," while tagging her husband, Jaron Varsano, in the photo.

Touching upon the name of her child, Gadot revealed that her new daughter is called Ori.

Opening up about the meaning behind the name, the 38-year-old said: "You have brought so much light into our lives, living up to your name, Ori, which means 'my light' in Hebrew. Our hearts are full of gratitude."

Ori joins Gadot and her husband's three other daughters: Alma, 12, Maya, six, and Daniella, two.

The news of the birth came as a surprise to fans, as Gadot never publicly announced her pregnancy.

Fellow celebs were quick to offer their congratulations in the comments, as Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul said: "Congratulations!! So beautiful."

Singer Vanessa Carlton said: "Mazal Tov, so beautiful," while Emily in Paris star Lily Collins said: "Ahhhhh congratulations!!!"

Reflecting on motherhood in a previous interview with InStyle in 2022, Gadot shared her passion for being a young mother.

"I always wanted to be a young mother. Yeah, three kids. No joke, woman. God bless them, but it's so much work," she said.

Talking about the "magic" of childbirth, Gadot added: "I would do it once a week if I could. It's so magical. And I always take epidurals, to be fair, so it's not so painful. Just the moment you feel like you're creating life, it's incredible. But the pregnancies are hard for me - I feel sick and have migraines. I'm not in my element."

Despite the challenges of pregnancy, Gadot expressed her admiration for the balancing act between family life and her acting career. "When you're on set, you're like a kite. You can fly so high and try to catch the air," she explained.

Gadot has also spoken fondly of her husband, whom she met at a "very strange party in the Israeli desert" almost a decade ago.

"He's the best man," she told Glamour. "Both of us said, 'No games. Let's just be honest and keep it simple.' I wouldn't be able to do what I do without him. Family still has to be the first priority. I have to do what's good for my child."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
