Gillian Anderson looked as radiant as ever at last night's Golden Globes awards -- but left fans stunned with a subtle detail on her gorgeous dress.

The 55-year-old American actress star is perhaps best known to modern audiences for her roles in shows like Sex Education and The Fall - where she plays characters that embody female empowerment.

Therefore, it's only fitting that Anderson opted to attend the prestigious event wearing a stunning ivory gown that had been embroidered with vaginas.

The strapless custom number was created by Gabriela Hearst for the X-Files star, with Anderson telling Deadline later in the evening that the design was "brand appropriate". She added: "[I wore it] for so many reasons."

Per PEOPLE, the label confirmed that each motif on the gown took an eye-watering three-and-a-half hours to embroider - for a total of 150 hours! It was also created in partnership with Anderson's own G Spot brand.

And after her fans spotted the sultry detail on the gown, they flocked to X to share their incredible reactions. One person commented: "Gillian Anderson wore a dress covered in vulvas to the #GoldenGlobes2024 and I love this with my whole soul. 10/10. Literally serving c**t."

A second added: "Gillian Anderson at the Golden Globes in the p***y dress, I have no words she has me GAGGED".

What's more, the dress had POCKETS! What a queen she is.

In a recent interview with Hello Magazine, Anderson opened up about her love of women and her desire to see women of all ages succeed.

"I think women can be incredibly powerful," she said. "I want other women of all ages, who have looked up to the characters that I’ve played, to explore what it is about those characters that they actually want, and whether they can embrace some of those attributes that already exist in them. Hopefully then they can own them more."

Diving into her role as Dr Jean Milburn in Sex Education, the star added: "Women-centric issues have always been important to me but since doing Sex Education, women’s health has been a topic that has been brought to me quite a lot."

"There are so many taboos, oddly, even in 2023, that are still around discussion about women's bodies, about sex, about menopause," she said - which is why Anderson is now on a mission to address kind of sex education children are receiving in school. She explained: "A good percentage of youth out there aren’t really aren't getting messaging that is helpful and useful for them in terms of what protection to use."
