Actress Goldie Hawn has opened up about how the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is affecting her.

The 74-year-old actress, who is known for her roles in The First Wives Club and Death Becomes Her, amongst others, made an appearance on Good Morning Britain yesterday, where she revealed that she's been crying multiple times per day over her concerns for others during this unprecedented time.

"We are very lucky and I’m incredibly grateful, but I do feel a tremendous angst and a tremendous sadness," she told the hosts. "I find every day I cry probably three times a day because it hurts me to think that there is abuse going on, anger going on and this all has to do with confinement, fear and uncertainty about what is going to happen. It’s catastrophizing."

Acknowledging the privilege that her celebrity status affords her and her longtime partner, actor Kurt Russell, Hawn conceded that her quarantine looks different to many others'.

"We are in a rarefied world, we have lovely houses and places to be, my family live very close and we do a lot of social distancing," she added.

Watch Goldie share a "crazy" MindUP mindful movement dance on Instagram:

In an interview with The Guardian last month - the Oscar-winning actress, who is the founder of MindUP, a mental health foundation for children - offered some advice to people who are in self-isolation.

"Before you go to bed, think of three things that went well today," she said. "I don’t care if it’s a little crazy thing – it doesn’t matter."

And to help children during the Covid-19 pandemic, Hawn has recorded a guided brain break, and it is available for free on the  Moshi: Sleep and Mindfulness app and via the Mind Up website.
