Grimes has poked fun at her split from Tesla founder, Elon Musk.
Instead of dividing up their possessions, or working out custody arrangements for their child X Æ A-Xii, Grimes joked that she intends to set up a "lesbian space commune".
"I’ll be colonizing Europa [one of Jupiter's moons] separately from Elon for the lesbian space commune," she told Page Six via email.
Here, the Canadian musician is referencing her estranged husband and Space X's $178 million contract with NASA to help them reach Jupiter's icy moon, Europa.
This comes after Musk and Grimes announced their split after three years together.
Speaking to Page Six, the 50-year-old Space X founder said: "We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms." He added that they will be continuing to co-parent their one-year-old son.
"It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room," he continued.
The pair — who started dating in May of 2018, and had their first child in 2020 — were last seen together at the Met Gala earlier this month.
Grimes, 33, walked the red carpet alone, and Musk joined her later inside. They were seen leaving New York together the following day.
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, was previously in a relationship with electronic musician Jaime Brooks.
Meanwhile, Musk shares five sons with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson — twins, Griffin and Xavier, and triplets, Damian, Saxon, and Kai.
He has also been married twice to Westworld actress Talulah Riley. They married for the first time in 2010 before announcing their divorce in 2012. They remarried the following year, but in 2014, Musk filed for a second divorce — which was finalized in 2016.
