Taking to YouTube on July 9 in a video titled: "I'm Pregnant, My Journey So Far", the 32-year-old revealed to fans that she was expecting her first child with her current boyfriend, Ken Urker, 31.

The pair had only reunited for a matter of weeks before the news was announced.

"I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now," she explained in the emotional video, "and I'm happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant."

"Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025," she continued. "This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood."

Elsewhere in the video, Blanchard, who has previously served time for premeditating her own mother's murder, addressed some concerns voiced to her by her fans.

"I know that there are going to be people who feel like I'm not ready to be a mother and I don't know if anyone's really ready to be a mother," she said before getting emotional.

"All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby," she said while wiping her tears from her eyes. "I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child.

"I want to be everything my mother wasn't," she added.

Now in her first interview since the announcement, the 32-year-old social media personality has opened up about how she plans on navigating motherhood.

Speaking to PEOPLE, she emphasized that she knew this next step was going to really test her as well as her relationship.

"I'm not going to say that I think that a baby will help a marriage or a relationship, because obviously there's the added stress," she said. "I know that realistically, there's going to be arguments too. But [Ken and I] both come from divorced parents and one thing we absolutely agreed on from day one, even back when we were dating in 2017, is that when we have a child, we will stick together for the long haul.

"This is a forever thing because we don't want our child to grow up in a broken home," she added.

In her early life, Blanchard, who was the victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy at the hands of her mother Dee Dee, suffered the pain of being controlled and manipulated, having been forced to undergo hundreds of treatments and surgeries she never needed for fabricated conditions, and this has spurred her to reflect on what type of mother she wants to be.

"All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby," she said. "My mother told me I was never going to get married, raise a family, have kids, or do any of that.

"So, to be here, standing on my own two feet and expecting my first baby, that's something I've reached as an achievement and a personal goal. I thank God every day that I am now having this second chance at life with a kid of my own.

"The way my mother parented me is definitely not the way I'm going to be," she added. "I have learned from the experience of the trauma of everything not to do."

Instead, Blanchard said that she took inspiration from her stepmom, Kristy.

"I want to be kind, that my kids come to me for any kind of advice, just like my stepmother," she told the outlet. "I have seen how she has parented her children — and I think she's a kick-a** mom. She's supportive and not overbearing.

"She lets her kids find their dreams while also being able to pick up the pieces when those dreams fall apart sometimes - so that's kind of the mantra I want to live by."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
