On Tuesday (August 3), 56-year-old actor Daniel Craig, best known for playing James Bond, graced the red carpet during the Venice Film Festival.

Craig looked worlds away from his role as James Bond as he showed off his blond locks and bearded look at the premiere of his new film, titled Queer, alongside his wife, Rachel Weisz.

The star sported an all-white suit that was accessorized with brown shades and shiny brown shoes. Meanwhile, his wife put on a glamorous display in an eye-catching blue gown with a striking diamond necklace.

Fans were more focused on the Knives Out star's new look as they took to the comment section of an Instagram post to share their awe-struck reactions.

One shocked user remarked: "Mans looks different .. that’s so crazy he’s unrecognizable," and another agreed, adding: "I barely recognized him."

A third stunned user raved: "Daaaaamn Daniel" and a fourth commented that he now looks like "a Bond Villain".

"Man, he is absolutely rocking the flow. Looks good on him," one person complimented, referencing Craig's locks.

The No Time To Die actor stars in Luca Guadagnino's latest film, which is based on William Burroughs' semi-autobiographical novella.

Craig plays an American expat and war veteran William Lee, who sparks a romance with a younger man, Eugene Allerton (portrayed by Drew Starkey), a drug addict and discharged Navy serviceman.

The film has generated a lot of buzz during the festival for Craig's on-screen work as well as his explicit sex scenes with the 30-year-old Outer Banks actor.

Watch a released clip from the movie below:

The English star opened up about his latest project during a photocall for Queer and gushed about his co-star: "Drew (Starkey) is a wonderful fantastic beautiful actor to work with and we had a laugh, we tried to make it fun," as cited by Daily Mail.

"There was some choreography in the movie which was a very important part of the movie. Drew and I started months before filming rehearsing the dancing. Dancing with someone is a great icebreaker," he continued.

"You know as well as I do there is nothing intimate about filming a sex scene on a movie set, but we just wanted to make it as touching and as real and as natural as we could," Craig added.

The filmmaker described Craig as "one of the greatest actors," and said that he "has the capacity of being very mortal on screen, very few are," adding: "Very few iconic legendary actors allow that fragility to be seen and one of them is Daniel to be sure."

Furthermore, Venice Film Festival boss Alberto Barbera also applauded the 007 icon, stating that he has given "the performance of a lifetime" in Queer, and added that he'd be shocked if we don't see the actor at the 2025 Academy Awards.
