After their battle on Netflix last night, fans are now wondering how much Jake Paul and Mike Tyson earned as a result of their appearance on the streaming platform.

Tyson and Paul went head-to-head at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, last night, pulling in a whopping 72,000 people at the venue as well as an estimated 120 million watching on Netflix around the globe.

The pre-match hype certainly paid off - with the event becoming the largest American boxing event to be held outside of Las Vegas - but the actual action in the ring from both Paul and Tyson failed to live up to the anticipation.

By the end of the eight two-minute rounds, it was clear that the 58-year-old just wasn't at the top of his game, and he was struggling to keep with the Paul - 31 years his junior.

By the final bell, Paul was declared the victor by unanimous decision, and he can finally now walk around and tell people: "I beat Mike Tyson."

Despite their lackluster performances, many are wondering how much the stars will be paid considering just how successful the fight was in terms of viewership.

Well, per CBS News, online sources including DraftKings Network have estimated that Tyson will make approximately $20 million from this fight, though the exact number has not been confirmed by promoters.

The outlet reported that this number is in the ballpark of what the veteran boxer earned in his match against Michael Spinks in 1988, a record purse at the time (worth roughly $53 million today adjusting for inflation).

That bout lasted less than two minutes, with Tyson knocking out the previously undefeated Spinks in a total of 91 seconds.

The fighter's net worth currently sits at $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

In a TikTok video posted earlier this week, a shirtless Paul, slumped on a couch wearing a prosthetic belly to make himself look out of shape, offered Tyson an additional $5 million if the former champion can last more than four rounds with him in the ring - which he did.

As for Paul, whose net worth is $80 million, he's expected to double what Tyson is estimated to have earned, equating to a whopping $40 million!

CBS News adds that the undisclosed purse for last night's event is estimated by some experts to be as high as $80 million.

To be honest, I'd get punched in the face by Mike Tyson for a fraction of that.

Tyson vs Paul is still available to stream on Netflix now.
