Jacob Elordi once admitted that two male actors were among his first childhood crushes in a candid confession
The Euphoria star, 28, has become one of Gen-Z's biggest heartthrobs in recent years, having taken on a series of lead roles including in Saltburn, playing Elvis Presley in Priscilla, and Frankenstein.
The star was previously asked about his childhood crushes - and revealed that two leading men were among them.
In 2023, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he revealed that one of them was Brad Pitt.
He explained: "Brad Pitt. I think in [2004 drama] Troy. That’s a beautiful man. There’s no denying it."
Jacob had previously also said Orlando Bloom was among his childhood crushes, but only when he was in one particular role.
He explained in an interview with W Magazine in 2021: "It would have been probably Legolas [from The Lord of the Rings].
"Orlando Bloom was a big, like... where I was like 'Wow, this guy is perfect.’ But it was Legolas particularly, you know.
'No, I honestly would have rather it be Aragorn, but when I think of a crush I think, like, Legolas. So pure and fine."
While Jacob has publicly been in relationships with several celebrity females, including Kaia Gerber and Joey King, he hasn't shied away from same-sex romances in roles that he's played.
His role of Nate Jacobs in Euphoria saw several suggestions that Nate is queer, but the actor previously explained that he has "never really approached" Nate’s struggles "in terms of sexuality".
He also starred in Saltburn alongside Barry Keoghan - which included *that* particular bathwater scene - of which which director Emerald Fennell told PinkNews: "This is a film entirely about desire, and that desire takes every conceivable manifestation, and it’s so important.
"Yeah, of course, [queerness is] part of the very fabric of the film."
Jacob also addressed the bullying he faced at school after choosing to focus on acting instead of rugby following a back injury, particularly when he took on a role in a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
He explained at the time: "When they said I was gay, I remember leaning into the makeup. I was like, if I’m going to be the King of the Fairies, I’m going to be the f**king hottest King of the Fairies you’ve ever seen.
"I started welcoming those kinds of characters. I started welcoming the femininity. I started speaking with my hands. I started really playing the thespian."
He added: “I was like, well, if you think this is gay, I’m going to be who I am when I was your friend, which is this hetero guy, but I’m going to play the arts.”
