Jacob Elordi slammed for 'rude' response to fan who said she was going to 'throw up'
Jacob Elordi has come in for criticism after some people said he was ‘rude’ during a fan encounter.
It might only have been a short encounter, but it definitely generated some attention.
Jacob Elordi is one of the biggest stars in the world right now
Elordi has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame thanks to performances in hit shows like Euphoria and movies such as Saltburn.
He has also garnered critical acclaim during that time too, and has received particular praise for his role as the Creature in the recent Frankenstein adaptation.
There has also been some controversy along the way, as evidenced by the reaction to his latest film Wuthering Heights, but now there’s a different piece of film landing him in hot water, and it came from a chance encounter with a fan.
The fan told Elordi she felt like she was going to be sick
This incident took place between Elordi and TikToker and fitness instructor Olivia Amato, who shared the short video on her account with her followers.
In the video, we see the aftermath of Olivia telling Elordi that she was going to throw up, to which he responded: “Don’t do that, that’s disgusting…”
It seems perfectly normal, but of course, some online decided to take it the wrong way.
“That’s actually so rude,” one person said.
“That was weird that he said that,” another wrote.
“This how I ignore the red flags in a relationship,” said a third.
Another comment read: “Oh wow that totally killed my thoughts on him…”
Luckily, there was some balance to the debate.
“I dream about him telling me I’m disgusting,” wrote one.
“OMG he’s kidding guys,” said someone else.
To be fair, in the caption of the video, Olivia did explain things a bit more clearly, making sure everyone knew it was harmless.
She wrote: “I told Jacob Elordi I was going to throw up bc I loved him sm and he told me not to bc that would be disgusting….. dreams really do come true.
“In an amusing twist of fate, I found myself sharing a moment with the one and only Jacob Elordi.
“Overcome by my feelings, I jokingly told him that I was going to throw up because I loved him so much. His response?
“‘Don’t do that, it would be disgusting…’
“This light-hearted exchange left me in stitches and proved that dreams really can come true.”
She continued: “Such encounters remind us of the fun and humor we can find in our crushes and celebrity interactions.
“Love can indeed be funny and chaotic, leaving us with cherished memories and stories to share.
“Have you ever had a similar experience or a funny encounter with someone you admire?
“Let’s embrace those moments that bring us joy and laughter, proving that dreams can turn into delightful realities!”
