Jaden Smith is mister jack of all trades, master of all. He has dabbled in everything from singing and fashion designing his own line to serving as an activist for causes like the Flint, Michigan water crisis. Though his newest album ERYS dropped just days ago, Jaden has already got other things on his mind.
In the wake of his 21st birthday, he decided to give back. For this ideas man, that meant a one-day food truck on Skid Row in Los Angeles to feed the homeless. The pop-up, called I Love You Restaurant, served vegan food all day free-of-charge. Smith announced the venture by posting three times on Instagram.
One video shows a long line of homeless individuals waiting to pass the truck's window. The line moves quickly and, once they reach the window, they are handed a brown paper bag full of food before walking off.
A post on the food truck's Instagram shows a photo of the food, which appears to be bowls filled with various vegetables and grains. All three posts on Jaden Smith's Instagram share the same caption, written in his signature strange capitalisation:
"I Love Your Restaurant Is A Movement That Is All About Giving People What They Deserve, Healthy, Vegan Food For Free. Today We Launched Our First One Day Food Truck Pop-Up in Downtown LA. Keep A Look Out Because This Is The First Of Many."
Though all the captions end with #JADENinc, as in Jaden fashion, the cryptic message fails to reveal much about his future plans for the restaurant, though one post did say that this would be the first of many. Or, what he'll take on next outside of his activism, for that matter.
The young star could have anything up his sleeve. From gracing the world with his music to helping those in need, there is nothing this boy can't do.
