For a long time, Jason Momoa was best known for his role as the brutal warrior (with a soft side) Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, but after his recent appearances as Aquaman in both Justice League and his solo movie, he's really stepped up his game. Regardless of how successful Aquaman has been (it recently became one of only few movies to pass the $1 billion mark), his fans seemed to be mostly obsessed with the actor himself.
A lot of this comes down to the fact that Momoa is a bit of a showman at heart, and puts in the extra effort to make things fun for his fans, whether it's randomers he meets on the streets or the viewers at home when he was hosting Saturday Night Live!
When he got to the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of his new hit blockbuster, everyone would have expected him to smile and take a few photos like any other actor, but Momoa ended up performing the New Zealand's maori ceremonial dance the haka. And he even got his kids involved.
Lately, he's been hilariously photobombing wedding photos or buying matching rings with his wife's ex-husband, Lenny Kravitz, but his latest snaps have his fans feeling all warm and fuzzy. He shared a few candid photos of himself with his grandma, and they're pretty damn adorable.
"Needed to come home to Iowa and give my grams some aloha Love u forever grandma #Mabel#thematriarch #raisedbywomen #loveuma#hawaiianiowan," he wrote in the caption. "HAWAII backwards is IIAWAH. IOWA Aloha j"
Given how loveable he's proven to be in his interactions with fans and his other posts to Instagram, his followers were all for these positive shares. "So precious! Make every moment a treasured memory!" one wrote, while another added, "I need no more reasons to love Jason Momoa. However, this sincerely ups my respect and warms my heart."

Momoa is on a hot streak at the moment after the resounding success of Aquaman at the box office, and he's all for sharing the good vibes with the world. After hearing that they'd managed to pass the coveted $1 billion mark, he took to Instagram to thank everyone for their part, writing:
"BILLION DOLLAR UNDERDOG. from Baywatch to making what once was the most disrespected superhero into a billion dollar movie. no one gets to the top without the people that love them.
"My success is from my fans. All my aloha to everyone that had a hand in making this movie. Mahalo Zack for choosing me and mahalo James for creating this beautiful world."
Now, he isn't wrong one bit - Aquaman was never exactly seen as the 'coolest' of superheroes, and now he's in the big leagues thanks to Momoa. Fortunately, it looks like the success isn't going to his head, and he still has time to visit his grandma.
