Jason Momoa has been criticized for having a "rude" attitude during his guest appearance on The One Show.

The 44-year-old actor appeared on the BBC One show on Monday (December 11) to discuss his role in the forthcoming DC sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

The Hollywood star was joined by Northern Irish actor James Nesbitt, 58, and celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, 63, on the show.

As the guests were interviewed by hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas, fans noticed that Mamoa proceeded to arch his body away from Lawson meaning his back was against her for large portions of the talk show.

Many viewers were quick to comment on the awkward situation and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to slam the Game of Thrones star for his behavior on the show.

One user wrote: "#TheOneShow Jason Momoa sat with his back to Nigella the whole time on the sofa...so rude...Grace Jones slapped Russel Harty for that...quite right too."

Another user demanded to know: "Just switched on the telly. Why is Jason Momoa pointedly sitting with his back to Nigella Lawson??"

A third commented: "Never really been a fan of Jason but now definitely not a fan the way he has his back to nigella! #rude!"

A fourth shared: "Jason Momoa is being quite ignorant at times, especially when James Nesbitt is talking as he has his back to Nigella Lawson."

Mamoa has been on the publicity trail for his new forthcoming DC movie which will star Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman.

The story takes place years after the events of the first movie and sees the main character having to defend his beloved Atlantis and his loved ones from destruction after an ancient power is released by a cursed trident.

The Dune star recently spoke about reprising his role as Aquaman in his opening monologue for Saturday Night Live. He expressed gratitude to the producers for allowing him to host twice, gushing: "It means so much to me."

He then revealed that his mother was in attendance to cheer him on and hilariously added: "If you see her, be careful, she's still recovering from giving birth to me."

"But I'm so happy to be here. I love this place. I love life!" Mamoa exclaimed. "I love waking up washing my luxurious hair with a full bottle of shampoo, and I love playing Aquaman because I love the ocean."
