Jazz Jennings has expressed that she's "happier and healthier" after showing off her remarkable weight loss transformation.

On Saturday (January 20), the 23-year-old - who starred in the TLC reality TV series, I Am Jazz (2015) - took to her Instagram to celebrate her outstanding weight loss.

Sharing a picture of herself donning a black-and-white strapless halter dress, Jennings penned: "70 pounds down. Feeling happier and healthier than I’ve been in years.

"I still have a ways to go, but I’m so proud to finally be taking the necessary steps toward bettering my mind, body, and spirit," the TV personality concluded.

The YouTuber's post amassed over 56K likes, and the comment section was inundated with positive words of encouragement from her 1.2 million followers.

One user wrote: "You look amazing, Jazz!!!!!! Keep it up!!!!! Everyone here supports you," while another said: "You are beautiful inside and out no matter what size but I do know how good this feels and how happy you are!"

Jennings' brother, Sander, also voiced his support for her, writing: "So proud of you!!! It’s so amazing to see you so motivated and finding your passions."

A fourth remarked: "You look great Jazz! You always have, but I know what it’s like struggling with weight. I’ve lost 100lbs this past year, and have a little more to go to be at my goal weight, but not having a thyroid it’s like a roller coaster. Keep up the great work."

The reality TV star was born male and diagnosed with gender dysphoria at the age of four, making her one of the youngest people to be officially labeled as transgender.

She rose to stardom after being interviewed by Barbara Walters in 2007 and is an honorary co-founder of the TransKids Purple Rainbow Foundation, which her parents founded that same year to support transgender youngsters.

Jennings' fluctuating weight has been showcased in her TV series, which followed her through high school as she dealt with her weight and life’s various obstacles.

Back in June 2021, the activist - who underwent gender confirmation surgery in 2019 - opened up about suffering from a binge eating disorder, - which Beat Eating Disorder defines as a "serious mental illness where people eat very large quantities of food without feeling like they’re in control of what they’re doing".

She posted side-by-side photos of herself, one showing her in a sports bra and black shorts at the time and another that revealed her looking slimmer in the past.

"I'm not only addicted to food, but I eat it in large quantities. My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I’m on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years," The then 20-year-old told fans.

Jennings said she shared the pictures to "hold myself accountable," quipping: "I’m ready to change my ways; I’ve been saying I’m ready to turn over a new leaf, but I’m running out of trees now.

"I’m ready to take the initiative and create positive changes when it comes to my health and body. I have a fabulous team supporting me, both professionals and family/friends, but at the end of the day, I have to be the one committed toward bettering myself. I know I have the power in me to lose the weight, and I intend on sharing my progress with all of you," she added.

"Love you all, and thanks for understanding the battle I’m fighting to win," she concluded.
