Jelly Roll has opened up about staying in a hospital just days before news of his divorce from Bunnie Xo made headlines.
The 41-year-old singer, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, shared details of the health scare in a TikTok video posted on June 11.
He explained how a severe sinus infection nearly sidelined him while on tour with Post Malone.
"I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte," Jelly Roll said.
"Shoutout to that whole hospital. They literally got me on my feet for the show.
"I had a puffy face and all. It was just bad, dude, the sinus infection was bad."
Despite receiving treatment, the illness affected his ability to take part in Post Malone's Big Ass Stadium Tour fully.
The 'Wild Ones' musician explained that his infection forced him to skip part of a performance for the first time since joining the 'Congratulations' singer on tour.
"It's the first night as long as I've been touring with Post that I didn't get to come out and sing 'Losers,'" he said. "I just barely got through my show."
The following night, he received a surprise gesture from his tourmate.
"The next night, he sends me a big flower bouquet and goes, 'Get well soon, Mofo. Love Ya.'" he continued.
"When I say on stage every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world, y'all, I'm not making that up."
"He's the most rockstar dude I've ever known, that's the most normal dude in the world. I love you, Posty!" he added.
Jelly Roll's hospital admission came shortly before reports surfaced that he had filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo after nearly a decade of marriage.
The filing listed May 9 as the date of separation and cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split.
Additional filings reportedly stated that the couple had been 'unable to live together successfully as husband and wife.'
It's been disclosed that Jelly Roll has retained Nashville attorney Rose Palermo to represent him during the proceedings.
Meanwhile, Bunnie retained attorneys Neil Campbell and Marykate E. Williams of Campbell Perky Johnson, PLLC.
The 'Save Me' singer is requesting approval of a Marital Dissolution Agreement providing for an 'equitable division of the parties' assets.'
The couple reportedly owns a Nashville mansion and a 500-acre farm outside the city.
Neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie Xo has publicly addressed the divorce filing.
However, fans quickly revisited several social media posts Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, had shared around the time the paperwork was filed.
Two days after the filing, the Dumb Blonde podcast host posted a TikTok with the caption: "Women's intuition when that s*** don't add up."
In the video, she appears to realize something before sitting upright and mouthing: "Mother f***."
Many followers later returned to the post following the divorce news.
"Bunnie was dropping the tea in real time, and we all did not clock it," one user commented.
Another wrote: "I swear I knew something was up the second she dropped this!"
A third added: "Omg I'm watching her dropping crumbs for the big news. Glad I'm not the only one who had to come back."
The TikTok was one of many cryptic posts she posted around the same time. Among them was a lingerie photo captioned: "She's getting her sparkle back," set to Metric's 'Help I'm Alive'.
She also posted a screenshot of a text message reading: "Come here, let me show you what love feels like," alongside J. Cole's 'Power Trip'.
Another reposted Snoop Dogg Reel featured the text: "'You're embarrassing, cut it out.'"
The video then continued: "Me about to take it up a notch:" accompanied by footage of a dancing monkey.
