Jennifer Aniston recently broke down in tears when she was asked a question about Friends during a new interview.
Earlier this week, the lineup for Variety's iconic 'Actors on Actors' show was announced with Aniston appearing alongside Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson for one of the series' first episodes.
The interview saw the stars delve into what makes a great TV show before going on to talk about other topics such as how to work with writers, create a stellar ensemble cast, and block out the noise from social media.
However, there was one segment when things took a turn for the emotional after the pair started discussing the upcoming 30th anniversary of the hit 90s sitcom, Friends.

In the interview, one of the people behind the scenes asked Brunson, 34, to ask Aniston what it's like to watch Friends now.
Immediately the 55-year-old started getting emotional, wiping tears away.
"Oh God, don't make me cry," she told her co-host.
"I won't," Brunson responds before going on to say: "Don't make me- we won't make each other cry."
"Okay," Aniston says, pretty unconvincingly as her voice quivers.
"But you're already crying," the actress says back to the Murder Mystery star. "Do you want a minute?"
Brunson also adds that the pair don't have to talk about the show if it's still something that Aniston finds difficult given the fact that her co-star on the sitcom, Matthew Perry, tragically passed away last October.

The heart-wrenching news of Perry's death surfaced on October 28, 2023, when emergency responders discovered the 54-year-old actor unresponsive at his Los Angeles residence. Authorities arrived at the scene around 4:00PM, revealing that Perry was found in an unresponsive state in a hot tub.
The toxicology report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Perry succumbed to "the acute effects of ketamine."
Drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine were listed as contributing factors. The medical examiner ruled the manner of death as an accident.
Perry had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety before his passing. The toxicology report revealed: "At the high levels of ketamine found in his postmortem blood specimens, the main lethal effects would be from both cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression."

In Variety's clip, Aniston wiped away her tears before continuing with the segment.
"No I'm okay, these are happy tears," she told Brunson who set up the scene, telling everyone that Friends is turning 30 soon.
"And so am I," joked the 55-year-old. "It's such a coincidence!"
The pair agreed that Friends was "one of the best shows on television" - which we wholeheartedly double down on.
Have a look at the clip below:The moment really resonated with fans, with one user commenting: "When Jen started crying for Matthew."
"Quinta gets props for saying to Jennifer, “We don’t have to go there if you don’t want to.” I get why the producers were trying to create that buzzworthy moment, but I also appreciate Quinta’s willingness to derail it for Jennifer’s sake. It’s nice to see people take care of each other like that. This was a charming pairing," another added.
A third also chimed in, writing: "The way Quinta took care of Jennifer when they brought up Friends, such kindness and respect. <3"
Friends ran for a total of 10 seasons before it ended in 2004.
