For those of you who don't know, yesterday (April 22) was World Earth Day, an annual event celebrated around the globe in which people demonstrate support for environmental protection.
The very first World Earth Day was celebrated all the way back in 1970, meaning this year saw the 50th anniversary of the environmental celebration. Now, thanks to EarthDay.org, events for WED are celebrated in 193 countries.
And in order to continue spreading awareness of the high profile public figures took to social media in an effort to share their thoughts on Mother Nature (along with a few selfies).
For example, former pro-wrestler-turned-Hollywood star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shared his powerful thoughts on the special day.
Sharing a couple of images of the Etowah River with his 180 million followers, the former WWE Champion wrote: "May not look like much in terms of a fancy selfie #earthday picture for Instagram, but it’s powerful to me and the mana is strong here at the Etowah Indian Mounds along the Etowah River.
"Thousands of Native Americans lived off this land dating back to 1000 AD.
"It sounds so simple core, but bringing my family to this peaceful river on this sacred Native American land was quite powerful today.
"Reminded me that I need to be that much more grateful for it all. Wish I brought my tequila."
Perhaps the most captivating post was shared by singer Jennifer Lopez, who wowed her fans with a reflective swimsuit pic.
Sharing the stunning photograph with her 119 million followers, Lopez captioned the post: "Mother Earth .... Be conscious of how you treat her. Love her and she will keep you forever."
And from looking at the post, I'd guess that J-Lo is currently sitting in the fountain of youth - something she's obviously got access to given her incredible looks.
The popular post amassed an impressed 2.4 million+ likes, with many commenters praising the Monster-In-Law star, rather than Mother Nature:

Lopez also posted an Instagram video earlier this month, pleading with her followers to stay safe and stay home.
In the post, she says: "Hey everyone. We want you to please stay home to stop the spread of COVID-19.
"We're staying home for those on the front lines – the doctors, nurses and technicians that are working so hard to keep everyone safe."
